State Issues

New Mexico prides itself on having a pro-business environment. With the G.O.A.L. of keeping this environment, the Chamber participates in the state’s legislative process. Chamber representatives are right there providing input and advocating for business.

Federal Issues

While the Moriarty Chamber of Commerce concentrates a large portion of its advocacy efforts at the state level, the Chamber advocated on behalf of the local business community at the federal level, as well. The United States Congress is continually introducing legislation that impacts the business community. The Chamber’s Government Affairs Department monitors legislation that will benefit Central New Mexico business, while remaining aware of legislation that may have a negative impact.

Grassroots Organization for Action and Leadership - G.O.A.L.

G.O.A.L. is an area where the Moriarty Chamber of Commerce membership can provide members and their employees with the opportunity to support pro-business issues at all levels of government. Members are educated on the pertinent issues that affect their bottom line and mobilized if action is necessary.
